JLS have said some female fans can be a real handful after a girl made a lunge down one of the group's trousers.

In less than a year the X Factor runners-up have clocked up two Mobo awards, a No 1 single and an army of female admirers - but sometimes there is a price to pay for stardom.

JLS's Marvin Humes said: "I was in a club and this girl put her hands down my trousers, I thought that's a bit strange - I was like 'You can't do that! If I did that to you, I would probably get put in prison'."

But fellow band member Aston Merrygold made light of the situation: "He went 'ooooh!'. Female attention is never unwanted, listen, there are more perks than there are disadvantages."

But Jonathan "JB" Gill warned: "You've got to be careful because there are people out there who want to exploit you and take advantage of you but you've just got to steer clear of them and notice the warning signs."

And he reckons there is safety in numbers: "We're lucky because there are four of us so it's not so difficult for us as it is for a solo artist."

JLS's second single Everybody in Love was released this week and their self-titled first album JLS hits the shops on November 9.
